6th Methodological Conference on Technology and AI in Language Teaching and Learning English in Opole

Dear English Language Teachers,

We would like to invite you to participate in lectures and workshops for English language teachers, which will take place on March 21, 2025, at Collegium Maius UO pl. Kopernika 11A. This is the sixth edition of the methodical conference organized by the University of Opole and the Municipal Education Support Center in Opole, with the participation of the US Consulate in Krakow and under the patronage of the International Association of Teachers of English in Poland, the British Council, and the Opole Superintendent of Education. Once again, the main topic is technology and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning English.

This year, we are hosting Prof. Jacek Pyżalski, PhD, AMU, with a lecture on What will generative artificial intelligence do to schools? Russell Stannard with a lecture on How AI technologies are impacting language education; Professor Emerita of Education, Purdue University, Indiana, USA Lynn Zimmerman with a lecture on AI and education: Opportunities and Challenges; and Rob Howard, President of IATEFL Poland, with a speech entitled The Best AI Technology for your Classroom is You.

There will be four plenary sessions and four workshops (to choose from). Conference participants will receive certificates confirming 8 hours of training. The conference is free of charge.
