Changes to the Committee

This is a happy and sad time of the year for the IATEFL Poland committee and community. We would like to officially announce that vice president and past president Małgorzata Bukowska-Ulatowska has stepped down from her official duties on the IATEFL Poland committee. Over the years, Gosia has done a wonderful job of heading up the team and being a role model to me. It saddens us to see her go. Fortunately, Gosia will remain our driving force in the Gdansk region and continue her tremendous work with our annual public speaking contest. We can't thank Gosia enough for all she has done, and we hope to have her back on the committee sometime in the future.

Now for happy news. At our AGM, which was held during the 33rd IATEFL Poland International Conference, we unanimously voted in our new vice president and future president, Magdalena Gałaj from the Language Center of the Lodz University of Technology. I have known Magdalena for a few years now, especially for her great work on the organizing team for the annual Lektor High-Tech Conference at Lodz University of Technology, and I’m confident that she will contribute with new ideas and innovations. Welcome Magdalena

The Jumble Quest

I hope everyone enjoyed the Jumble Quest contest at the 33rd.......
Although no one got it exactly right, anything close was put into a hat and one winner was chosen at random. Congrats to Anna Malewska-Szymichowska who wins a free entry to next year's conference.
