“Activate” is a free downloadable resource from the U.S. Department of State’s American English Website. Activate Games put learners in the center of the learning process, providing lots of open-ending speaking opportunities. Presenter Kevin McCaughey–one of the game set’s original designers–will show offer brand new variations on these and show how they can work in live online sessions.

Kevin has offered teacher trainings from Madagascar to Yemen to the Russian Far East (but not yet Poland!). His focus is always on getting students into the center of the action, whether it’s through games, song, movement, or active listening tasks.
Kevin has served as a Regional English Language Officer for the U.S. Department of State in Ukraine, South Africa, and now Serbia.
