“Beware the comfort zone“
Brief summary:
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, comfort zones occur when people feel too comfortable, and their abilities and determination are not being tested. If teachers and/or students remain within their comfort zones, progress will be endangered. We will consider some (typical?) language classroom scenarios and discuss practical strategies to counteract the negative consequences of comfort zones.
After the webinar all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Bio:
Geoff has many years of teaching experience in various sectors of education. He regularly offers teacher-training workshops on methodology, and frequently contributes to IATEFL Poland’s webinar programme. He acts as Coordinator for the IATEFL Poland Business English SIG and advises the Executive Board on matters of international cooperation. His special interest is humour, as will become evident in this talk.
