Social Justice in ELT: student-driven actions with remarkable global impact
Judy Boyle
Summary
This interactive workshop focuses on the power of language when taken beyond the formal learning context to express a specific social message for positive change. Drawing upon the global impact of a spoken-word poem created by a 16-year-old L2 speaker of English, the session explores how creative, collaborative, student-driven actions can be powerful mediums for social change.
