Good context allows to teach any kind of language and helps convey and discover all the shades of meaning of a new language item. Context is king in the kingdom of ELT. In this session, we will: - look at how to exploit context to the max to help students learn new grammar and vocabulary. - discover the contextual clues that convey meaning, and practice to spot and use them in class. - learn to evaluate context and decide whether it is suitable for teaching purposes, and practice to create our own context for language presentation. - exploit ways to lighten up a busy teacher's lesson preparation.
