Infographics in the EFL classroom: exercises, projects and skills-building

Summary

An infographic is a visual communication tool, most often used to synthesize ideas more clearly and help people learn more effectively. In this talk we’ll look at the value of learning visual thinking skills, more specifically, creating an infographic. Then, we’ll look at some activities and projects that use infographics to build and encourage better visual thinking and communication skills.

Biodata

English teaching was not Dianne's first career path, however, it has been the most enduring. She currently lives in Southwest France, working primarily with university students. She is an avid visual literacy and visual thinking enthusiast and would like to expand her class offerings to integrate EFL with visual thinking skill building, visual arts and journaling.
