In this talk, I will present the results of an empirical study in which I explored the effectiveness of an innovative screening mode, i.e. L2 audio + L3 subtitles.

Biodata

Karolina Baranowska (PhD) is a researcher at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in PoznaƄ. Her research interests revolve around second language acquisition, methods of teaching English as a foreign language, and cognitive load theory. She is particularly interested in the impact of exposure to foreign language videos on language learning and the role of subtitling. She is also involved in teaching English as a foreign language at academic level.
