Summary
This talk would focus upon a demonstration of an advanced learner troubleshooting aspects of difficulty or emotional blocks relating to the language learning or language performance. It would be live and spontaneous to demonstrate a professional coaching conversation in accordance to the ICF core competences and in relation to improving/enhancing/developing a language. Professional coaching is about "coaching "presence, spontaneity and soundboarding. We know from the research about coaching that a non-directive approach, the coachee achieves more insights and more creativity as well as more likeliood to achieve results leading to more well-being. This demo will aim to show the skills of active listening, poewerful questioning, coaching presence and embodying a coach mindset.
Biodata
Rachel Marie Paling founded Efficient Language Coaching in 2008 and created the method Neurolanguage Coaching® . She started teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults over 38 years ago. She has a BA Honours in Law and Spanish, a Masters in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) and qualified as a UK Lawyer in 2003. She combined her teaching experience, her specialisation in business English and her legal knowledge to coach top executives across Europe. She has created the new method and approach called Neurolanguage Coaching® and has trained over 1600 language teachers worldwide certifying them as Neurolanguage Coaches with her training course, one of the first language coaching certification courses in the world accredited by International Coach Federation USA. She is a professional coach with the PCC Credential from the International Coaching Federation and also holds an MA in Applied Neuroscience and an MA in Neuroeducation and Neuropsychology.
