Keeping it Real! Teaching Useful Idioms and Getting Rid of the Old!
Glenn Standish
Summary
Coursebooks are full of idioms and Polish students love them! However, the problem is there are so many of them and most coursebooks teach idioms which are so outdated, students simply sound trite and old-fashioned. In this session, we will look at useful idioms to teach your students and help separate the old from the new. We will also look at a variety of fun ways to practise them in class.
