This workshop addresses the presence of neuroatypical students (emphasizing autism and ADHD) within typical classrooms and promotes inclusive teaching without stigmatizing or requiring formal diagnoses. It explores their challenges and unique strengths (“superpowers”) while fostering an open, empathetic educator mindset. Participants will engage in small-group discussions on common classroom challenges (e.g., presentation anxiety, overwhelm) and collaboratively generate ideas for adapting teaching to students’ diverse needs. The session includes adaptable task examples benefiting all learners and highlights that meaningful learning occurs when students feel motivated and understood. The workshop concludes by emphasizing empathy, respect, and responsiveness as keys to inclusive education.
Biodata
Graduate in English Philology from the University of Łódź, with extensive experience teaching all age groups. Skilled in business translation, both domestically and internationally. Former language school owner. Since 2019, educator of business and academic English at the Lodz University of Technology. Passionate about neurodidactics and developmental psychology.
