Findings reveal COIL’s potential to boost motivation, foster global awareness, and enable authentic communication. The research also emphasizes the importance of balancing digital tools with pedagogical value, addressing challenges such as digital literacy, equitable participation, and communication barriers in virtual academic spaces.
Biodata
Viktoriia Drobotun is an Assistant Professor at Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine). She is an author of 30 scholarly publications. Her research interests lie in the area of COIL, Cognitive Linguistics, Cross Cultural Communication, Pedagogy and Language Testing and Assessment.
