The Agile Teacher: Surfacing Hidden Roles for Futureproof Learning

Olha Larichkina

Summary

As ELT evolves, so does our role as educators. We are no longer merely delivering a curriculum – we are acting as coaches, mentors, and facilitators. However, these shifts often occur quietly, without much reflection or recognition. In this session, we will examine what it truly means to teach in an agile, responsive manner today. How can we remain grounded while adapting to our learners' changing needs – and to the broader global changes that shape our classrooms? We will explore the often-overlooked dimensions of the 21st-century teacher and share strategies to boost teacher agency and deepen learner connection.
