Reflections on Advancement, Barriers, and Change
Serhii Petrenko
Summary
What does meaningful professional development really look like in practice, and how can we grow when circumstances are too complex? In this session, I will reflect on my experience exploring ways to grow professionally, developing my 21st-century and teaching skills through continuing professional development, networking at various events and international conferences, and leading and facilitating projects related to EAP, ESP, EMI, and professional development. I will share practical examples of how teachers identify development needs, plan and implement change, and reflect on their evolving roles. Rather than offering a fixed model, this session invites participants to rethink what CPD means.
