The Devil is in the Invisible Details
Lonny Gold
Summary
Teachers are judged by how much they know, but isn’t what counts how much they can transmit? Communicative expertise, based on the workings of the brain, is what Teacher Training colleges should be developing. This Suggestopedic language demonstration on Corruption will take a lighthearted – but information-packed – look at how peripheral perception, emotional association, music, movement, role-play and lightning-fast changes in activity can offer an exhilarating classroom experience where nothing taught can ever be forgotten. When learning is enjoyable, we remember it. Should we continue to act like teachers? Or should we begin to teach like actors?
