Unlocking Every Mind: 10 ADHD Teaching Principles for All Students
Dagmara Tańska
Summary
This workshop focuses on inclusive teaching strategies that effectively engage learners with ADHD while benefiting all students. It challenges stereotypes and highlights the diverse presentations of ADHD, especially the often-overlooked inattentive type common in girls. Drawing on current research, participants explore practical methods such as dopamine-boosting activities, emotional validation, promoting autonomy, and sensitive feedback. Through pair discussions, interactive activities, and reflection tasks, educators actively learn and apply these strategies. The workshop emphasizes that ADHD strategies are good teaching practices for everyone, addressing both hyperactivity and executive function challenges, equipping teachers with ready-to-use activities for supportive, inclusive classrooms.
