GAME ON: Unlocking language through play

Ron Mukerji

Summary

This talk challenges the idea that learning must always be serious to be effective. Games, when chosen carefully, are powerful tools for teaching English to both children and adults. They boost memory, concentration, problem-solving, and language skills, all while creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere that encourages participation and communication. You'll see easy-to-prepare, no-tech games in action - ones that break routine, spark laughter, and make language stick. Be ready to join in, as volunteers will be needed to help play the games during the session!
