Activities and Staging for Reading Lessons

Stephen Tarbuck

Summary

All reading and no play makes class a .... place. What word would you use to fill in that gap? Ask a student, no matter the age, and they are likely to say: dull or boring. Ask a teacher and they might even say the same. This is a shame. In this interactive workshop I’ll ask you to do some reading activities that you can take straight into your next class! Also, as a bonus, we’ll think about the stages of a reading lesson plan and how to include your new activities in future lesson plans.
