How to Use ChatGPT to Correct Student Speaking Errors

Eldad Cohen

Summary

As AI tools like ChatGPT gain traction in language education, teachers are exploring new ways to integrate them into speaking activities. This session focuses on how ChatGPT can support spoken corrective feedback by helping students identify and correct their own errors. Through classroom-based examples and practical strategies, we’ll examine how to design effective prompts that encourage learner autonomy and improve speaking accuracy. Participants will gain hands-on ideas for using ChatGPT to enhance oral practice, deliver effective feedback, and support student language development in a more interactive and tech-assisted learning environment.
