Who are we and they?Bridging generation gap in EFL class

Mariola Hejduk

Summary

In this workshop teachers are invited to reflect on who they are as educators and who their learners are. With Gen Z and Gen Alpha bringing new expectations, behaviours and learning preferences into classrooms, bridging the generation gap has become essential. Through guided reflection, discussion and practical tasks, participants will explore their teaching identity, gain a clearer understanding of who today’s learners are, and design 2–3 learner-centred activities to engage them. The session aims to help teachers realise how to connect with their learners in a deeper way through adaptive and responsive teaching.
