Human Touch in AI-ded Language Learning – Participatory Workshop

Magdalena Wróbel-Lachowska, Franciszek Sobiech

Summary

This 60-minute participatory workshop brings together language teachers to explore the role of AI through a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) lens. We will discuss how teachers already use AI, experiment with interactive examples, and reflect on usability, accessibility, and trust in AI-supported tools. Emphasizing co-creation, the session invites participants to share experiences, highlight opportunities and challenges, and identify design needs rooted in real classroom practice. By combining HCI perspectives with teachers’ voices, we aim to envision human-centered, responsible applications of AI that enrich, not replace, pedagogical expertise in language education.
