Language and Life? Life and Language? And the implications?

Susan Holden

The twin experiences of Covid and political and social upset present all of us with human challenges which seem very distant from the 'certainties' of our familiar language teaching and learning contexts. How will - and should - these experiences affect lesson content, materials and approaches? What examples from teachers' and learners' own lives can feed into and enrich the learning experience?

Susan has had a long and varied career as a teacher, teacher trainer, writer, editor, publisher. Based in Scotland, she attends IATEFL Poland conferences, participates in its webinars and meets its local groups as often as possible. It will be good to return to exchange ideas and experiences!
