Lifting the invisibility cloak: designing inclusive English classes

Summary

All students want, and deserve, to feel they belong in the classroom as well as on this planet. What we have always been doing doesn't really help many of them to have that need met. Let's share our experiences of fights and struggles for inclusivity and representation; let’s also plan together how we, teachers, can survive all the battles ahead.

Biodata

Łukasz mostly teaches English; mostly in a sociotherapeutic high school. He finds the work challenging beyond his capabilities, but receives a lot of help and support from his wonderful students, which keeps him going most of the time. He has been reading Viking sagas recently and will probably want to talk about them. Please be kind to him. Thank you.
