“Creating Authenticity in Legal English Classroom via News Articles“
Teachers and students are naturally attracted to authentic materials as finding that you can read something designed for a native speaker is motivating and developing strategies to deal with ‘real life’ situations in an effective way and have a proper understanding of them is crucial in producing the language with maximal approximation to real-life situation.
News articles are real, relevant, current, and interesting and, as such, are especially useful in the ESP classroom. This webinar exploresthe ways of effectively incorporating articles from the news into the ESP learning process as an invaluable resource for teaching intermediate and advanced students at the example of Legal English Class.
A structured approach to teaching news articles will be presented at the webinar since, as with all lessons, lessons centered around the news should be structured and have a clear goal. Articles can be used to work on speaking, listening, reading, writing, and vocabulary, focusing on more on one of these skills, though all skills will be practiced.
After the webinar all participants will receive a certificate of participation.
IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.
