Creating emotional awareness through Process Drama in the ELT classroom – a webinar by Prof. Dr Hab. Alicja Gałązka
Dear Colleagues,
IATEFL Poland and Prof. Dr Hab. Alicja Gałązka
have the pleasure to invite you to the webinar
“Creating emotional awareness through Process Drama in the ELT classroom“
Summary:
Process Drama as a teaching medium seems to be a solution for working with students not only on linguistic progress but also on developing their emotional and social potential. It helps to develop students’ life skills and engages them into purposeful talk, within meaningful contexts. Drama offers a stimulating and rich opportunity to discuss and understand our own emotions, attitudes, and beliefs through observing, empathizing with, feeling, and exploring the emotions of characters both portrayed and interacted within a role. In the talk you can learn what process drama is and how it can be used successfully in the ELT classroom for stimulating language and emotional skills.
