“Creative Writing for Literary Journal Publication”

Brief summary:

This webinar is for anyone interested in publishing (or helping your students publish) creative writing (prose, poetry, translations, book reviews) in literary journals. We’ll review ideas for finding writing prompts, online classes, and forming communities to inspire you to write – and finish – pieces. We’ll look at websites that rank and list journals that may be appropriate for your or your students’ work, and we’ll review the steps of the submission process, including tips for writing a writer bio and keeping track of submitted work.

Willow Barnosky

Willow Barnosky is an educator and writer based in San Jose, California. She is the Virtual English Language Fellow at the University of Opole for 2020–2021 and was the English Language Fellow at the University of Rzeszów for 2019-2020. She has experience as an ESL and EFL instructor, professional developer, and curriculum designer in Adult Education, university, and language institute contexts in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Poland. She received her MA in TESOL and a Specialization in Teaching Spanish from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
