Summary:
This webinar will explore how to leverage the power of close reading and summarization to foster deeper learning and critical thinking skills in the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) classroom. It will dive into practical strategies for engaging ESP students in analyzing authentic texts related to their specific field, extracting key information, and forming well-supported interpretations.
The listeners will gain valuable techniques for implementing these methods in your ESP curriculum, along with insights into how to cultivate students’ ability to think critically, make informed judgments, and communicate their ideas effectively within their chosen professional contexts. Teacher of ESP for business, medicine, technology, or any other field will be provided with tools to empower the students to become more confident learners and effective communicators in their professional lives.
During the webinar all participants will be provided with a certificate of participation, which they will be able to download.

Associate Professor of BSMA/PI
Bio
Dr. Tamar Dolidze is an Associate Professor of Batumi State Maritime Academy (Georgia), Faculty of Business and Management. Since 2020 she has been elected as an Associate Professor of the Online University – Pegaso International Group (based in Malta) with a subject: Communications and Language Philosophy. Dr. Tamari Dolidze has also been a guest lecturer/visiting professor (Legal English and Business Communications) at foreign universities, participant of Erasmus Teaching Mobility Program; She is a reviewer of the International Journal of Linguistics, Language and Culture and organizational committee member of Eurasian Multidisciplinary Forum (ESI); A member of the Editorial team of the International Journal of Knowledge and Learning (IJKL) and International Journal of Digital Humanities (Scopus Indexed). She is an Invited /Plenary Speaker at several International Conferences and Webinars.
