International Association of Teachers of English
as a Foreign Language IATEFL Poland

Bożena Czarniak

by Anna Gałucka

Dear IATEFL Poland Members and Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of our colleague and friend, Bożena Czarniak. Bożena passed away early Monday morning, on the second of September 2017.

Bożena was a long standing member of IATEFL Poland and an active and contributing member of the IATEFL Poland committee. She actively participated in all our meetings and conferences, always had a smile for everyone and was highly regarded by everyone who ever had the opportunity to meet her.

She will be deeply missed as a great contributor to the quality of foreign language teaching and a mentor to her students, but also as a colleague and dear friend.

Please join me in extending my most heartfelt condolences and sympathy to her family.

The funeral will take place on Friday 8.09.2017 at 16:00 at the 39 Nowotarska Cemetery in Zakopane.

With regret,

Elżbieta Jarosz
IATEFL Poland Secretary
