Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to join us
on Saturday April 6th, 2019 at 10.00 a.m.

ul. Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego 8, 50-370 Wrocław

for a workshop entitled

Satisfying special (individual) educational needs
of students in English classes

Speaker: Urszula Kropaczewska, Ph.D.
IATEFL Poland Young Learners SIG Coordinator
My presentation will be divided into two parts: a theoretical one and a practical one. I would like to base my presentation on some theoretical issues concerning students with special (individual) educational needs during the first part. The other part will focus on putting theory into practice. I would like to present some techniques I find useful and practical in satisfying the needs of every student (which is not easy, and sometimes even impossible). I would like to present some solutions that made my teaching possible.
You will leave the event with lots of practical ideas
and a set of ready-to-use materials!

The workshop is specially designed for those
who teach/are willing to teach Young Learners.
Urszula Kropaczewska, Ph.D., is a foreign language teacher trainer. She has been teaching English for more than twenty years to students aged 2-60+. For 15 years she has been teaching Theory of Learning and Teaching and Didactics to students in the Teacher Training College of Foreign Languages in Września. She is mostly interested in teaching English to (very) young learners and for many years (as a freelance worker) has been sharing her experience providing a variety of workshops for teachers in various kindergartens and primary schools as well as being a lecturer of post-diploma studies and cooperating with Teacher Training Centres. She has taken an active part in many conferences in Poland and abroad, sharing her experience with teachers. She has been engaged in publishing articles and books, creating her own website (, both in Polish and in English), being active on the blog (, recording and publishing lessons on YouTubeUrszulaKropaczewska. She has also been engaged in organising Live Lessons in many places (also IATEFL conferences) for teachers to see the theory in practice.

The workshop is free for IATEFL members. For non-IATEFL members the registration fee is 40 PLN, which can be paid on the day. The fee can also be paid in advance directly into IATEFL Poland’s bank account (see details below).
