21st Century Skills versus 21st Century Language Skills
21st century skills is a term we have been hearing recently in various contexts. It refers to teaching for the future in new changing learning environments, developing thinking tools, being creative and innovative together, and preparing for future careers. This talk explores how ELT can realistically embrace this trend by helping learners become critical thinkers, effective communicators and good collaborators.

Present Perfect(ly) – Rethinking the Image on the Screen
Advanced computer technology has become more widely available while delivering presentations. Using imagery is an effective tool towards communication, engagement, production and arousing interest. Unfortunately, the misuse and overuse has been causing our audiences to lose focus and miss the point(s). Today’s audiences are far more sophisticated in the way they retrieve information.
This talk will show ideas and more effective methods of achieving simplification to produce better quality presentations and demonstrate how to better deliver presentation materials by rethinking the image on the screen.
