Dear IATEFL Members and Visitors,

I have a pleasure to announce that Business English SIG has been reactivated. This is of utmost importance to me that all the activities undertaken within this group are professional, interesting, and first of all, inspiring. The vision of BESIG that I have in my mind is that of exchanging experience and knowledge through regular workshops and sharing and exchanging information on the BESIG website, that I hope you find useful and informative. I treat this new undertaking as a challenge, and I would really like to meet the expectations of those who enjoy teaching Business English.

We all experience moments of enlightenment when we have the most brilliant ideas and some (rare) moments of loss of enthusiasm, when we need a little spark of inspiration. I do hope that you will find it on www, which will not only serve as a resource website, but also a meeting place, and a source of professional support. Let BESIG be our common initiative so that we can all find it useful, supportive, helpful and ... alive with the ideas of BE teachers from all over Poland. I believe that it would be possible to blend the ideas of the more experienced teachers with the ones of the newcomers to the profession that would lead to new qualities in BE teaching. Let it be our goal to share ideas, optimism and professional experience not only to develop professionally but also personally.

I would like to ask you to take an active part in all events, as I imagine the future of BESIG as a body run for and by teachers of Business English. If you have any suggestions and ideas that you would like to share with us, please feel free to do so. If there are any special subjects that you find interesting, we are open for all your suggestions. Or maybe you would like to share your article with us, or some useful activities or exercises, that could be published on the website, you are more than welcome to do so. Should you have any questions, please, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to receive a message from everybody who would like to become a member of BESIG.
