Grandparents’ Day rhymes

Grandparents’ Day

  1. Grandparents’ Day Poem

Grandparents, Grandparents

It’s your day

Sending lots of

Hugs your way

It’s fun to read and

Cook with you

I like everything

You do

Sometimes I’m good

Sometimes I’m bad

You don’t get angry

You don’t get mad

It’s fun to spend

Time with you

Thank you Thank you

For all you you do

  1. A grandparent

Is a little

Bit parent.

A little bit

Teacher

And a little

Bit best friend

  1. When I see My Grandparents

When I see my grandparents

This is what I do

I hop up and give them a great big hug or two

I’m glad to see my grandparents

They’re glad to see me, too

I give them each a big smile and tell them

“I love you”

  1. Grandparents’ Poem

From the hair on their heads

To the toes on their feet

My grandparents are

Really, really neat.

They call me sweetie pie

They call me cuddle bug

And the thing they like most

Is a kiss and a hug

They might read me a book

They might make me a snack

They like to say “I love you” and

They like to hear it back.

  1. Grandparents are as good as gold

Reminding me of the days of old

Always greet me with a hug

Never stern or cold or smug

Delighting in the words I say

Proud of me in every way

Always with me when I am glad

Rocking me when I am sad

Every “boo boo” given care.

Never ending love is there

Telling tales both true and tall

Super special one and all

  1. What Grandpas are made of…

Best fan clapper

After meal napper

Tales from the past

Memories to last

Wisdom to teach

Always in reach

Strength in his arms

Magical charma

Endless love

A gift from above

That’s what Grandpas are made of.

  1. Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you

I love all those little things that you say and do

A walk through the park, a trip to the zoo

Oh Granma, Grandpa, I love you

Going to a ball game, fishing on the lake

Eating Grandma’s cookies, which really taste great

Going to the circus when it comes to town

Eating cotton candy and laughing at the clowns

Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you

I love all those little things that you say and do

A hug and a kiss, a ride home from school

Oh Grandma, Grandpa , I love you

Spending time together, talking on the phone

Happy birthday presents, chocolate ice cream cones

Photographs and memories, picnics and parades

Saying that you love me in so many ways

Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know I love you

I love all these little things that you say and do

The stories you tell, things I never knew

Oh Grandma, Grandpa, I love you

  1. Grandparents, grandparents, Grandparents are special

Let’s gather together for a special meal

Let’s gather together to show how we feel

Let’s gather together on a special day

We gather together cause we want to say

Grandparents, Grandparents, Grandparents are special

We gather together for a special treat

We feed each other with good things to eat

We gather together for a special surprise

We come together for our family ties

Grandparents, Grandparents, Grandparents are special

We gather together together for a special meal

We gather together to show how we feel

We gather together in our special tree

We give our thanks for friends and family

Grandparents, Grandparents, Grandparents are special
