IATEFL Poland’s First INSERVICE Teacher Training Event – report

Nowodworski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji NOSIR was the setting for our first INSERVICE Teacher Training Professional Development Day in Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki. The event was organized by one of our newest volunteers, INSERVICE Coordinator Viola Bielecka. The event, targeting teachers in smaller cities and towns, was attended by teachers from as far away as Lodz.

Topics for this event were: “Intelligent Instructions: Helping Students get it Right from the Start” and “Present Perfect(ly): Improving the Image on the Screen” by Rob Howard, IATEFL Poland president, Małgorzata Czermińska from Early Stage with “Visual Materials as a Key to Discovering Grammar by Young Learners”, LANG Ltc’s Melania Laszewska with “Navigating Challenges in Assessing Speaking Skills”, and IATEFL Poland’s Viola Bielecka with “The AUsome Classroom: Effective Strategies for Mastering Inclusive Education”.

Thanks go out to the Honorable Mayor of Nowy Dwor Mazoweicki, Sebastian Sosiński, who arranged the room at Nowodworski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji NOSIR, Early Stage who will partner with us to bring future events, LANG LTC, and the generous donations of materials for delegate from MM Publications and REGIPIO. We are currently planning our next event in the northeast of Poland, so stay tuned for more information.
