have the pleasure to invite you to the webinar:

“I’d like some poetry”:

Art, Music, & Literature in the Language Classroom

which will take place on Wednesday, 9th of July 2025, from 20.30 to 21.30 CET.

Summary:

In this presentation, I will review a variety of ideas for incorporating the arts into the EFL/ESL classroom. Visual arts, music, and poetry will be used as springboards for improving oral and literacy skills as well as grammar and vocabulary. Participants will receive links to resources and templates to use in the classroom.

During the webinar all participants will be provided with a certificate of participation, which they will be able to download.

IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.

Willow Barnosky
former English Language Fellow through the U.S. Department of State’s English language Programs

Bio

Willow Barnosky is an educator and writer based in Santa Rosa, California. She was the English Language Fellow at the University of Rzeszów for 2019-2020 and the Virtual English Language Fellow at the University of Opole in 2020. She has experience as an ESL and EFL instructor, professional developer, and curriculum designer in Adult Education, university, and language institute contexts in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Poland. She received her MA in TESOL and a Specialization in Teaching Spanish from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She currently teaches ESL at College of Marin in California, and is an MFA student in Creative Writing (Fiction and Poetry) at San Jose State University.
