Invitation to a training Teaching English in a Multicultural Classroom. for teacher educators
The British Council in Poland and the Centre for Education Development (ORE) invite you to a series of training sessions titled Teaching English in a Multicultural Classroom.
This invitation is aimed at English language consultants and teaching advisors. The two in-person sessions, scheduled for autumn in Warsaw, will feature practical workshops covering topics such as inclusion, multiculturalism, challenging classroom behaviour, and creating safe spaces for all students. A key part of the sessions will be the sharing of experiences among participants from various regions and an analysis of their needs in the context of their daily work. Between the in-person meetings, there will be online consultations as part of the Teachers’ Collaboration Network.
Attendance at both in-person sessions and participation in the online collaboration networks is required. The training is free of charge, and the British Council will cover the costs of meals and accommodation for two nights (22–24 October and 03–05 December).
Certificates will be issued by the Centre for Education Development (ORE).
The training will be conducted in English.
The aim of this training is to support English language consultants and teaching advisors, enabling them to tailor their work more effectively to the needs of teachers within their networks. Teachers in culturally diverse classrooms often face challenges such as students’ lack of motivation or behaviours that are difficult to interpret. This training will help advisors understand these challenges and equip them with the tools to support teachers in creating a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.
