“Useful things that actors know, and teachers don’t (yet)”
which will take place on Wednesday, 9th of April 2025, from 20.30 to 21.30 CET.
Summary:
The world of entertainment and the world of teaching are very similar and there are many useful practices that can be transferred from one to the other. The presenter is an experienced stage performer as well as being a professional teacher and teacher-trainer. In this session he will introduce a number of practical ideas that he learnt as an entertainer that have also helped him in his teaching work. The session features tips on how to make lessons more memorable, tips on presentation style, and thoughts on how teachers can create a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
During the webinar all participants will be provided with a certificate of participation, which they will be able to download.
IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.

Bio
David Fisher is the founder and director of The Bear Educational Theatre, Prague. He is a teacher and teacher-trainer, but also a professional actor with several film and theatre credits. He specializes in applying principles from the world of entertainment to classroom teaching.
