VAT stands for VALUE ADDED TEACHING. It is a philosophy of teaching and a methodological approach tailored to the challenges of 21st century education. It’s a way of using language to teach more than just grammar, vocabulary, or language skills. If you feel this is something that appeals to you, come along to this webinar and take part in a lively discussion between two well-known educators, Marta and Grzegorz, who genuinely care about adding VAT to ELT.

Marta Rosińska

Marta Rosińska holds an MA in Linguistics (University of Łódź) and Advanced Diploma in English Teaching Management (University of Cambridge), graduate of Uczelnia im. Leona Koźmińskiego (Psychology in Business postgraduate studies), a graduate of Social Competencies Trainer programme (TUS), head teacher trainer and Director of Studies at the English Language Centre, University of Łódź, freelance teacher trainer, mentor, and Academic Projects Director for DOS ELTea, including the innovative Thought Leader Academy course and ELT Author Academy. She is also the founder and manager of the ROK RELACJI W EDUKACJI initiative.

Grzegorz Śpiewak

Teacher, teacher trainer, project manager, adviser, materials reviewer, and author. Former academic lecturer (English Dept, University of Warsaw, and subsequently The New School for Social Research, New York). Former IATEFL Poland president, currently on its Board of Advisers. Head ELT Consultant for Macmillan Education Poland, Central & Eastern Europe. President of DOS-ELTea, an independent teacher development centre. Nominated for British Council ELTON award 2016 (DOS-ELTea Teacher Trainer Academy). Winner of two European Language Label awards: 2016 (Youngster programme – Macmillan) and 2012 (deDOMO – English for Parents).
