Helping Students with Cognitive Potential Using Social and Emotional Learning
Dear Colleagues,
IATEFL Poland and Heather Brooks Denton, language acquisition specialist and educator,
have the pleasure to invite you to the webinar:
Helping Students Increase Cognitive Potential Using Social and Emotional Learning
which will take place on
Friday, 8th April 2021, between 20:30 and 21:30 CET.
Research shows that SEL not only improves achievement by an average of 11%, but it also increases prosocial behaviors (such as kindness, sharing, and empathy), improves student attitudes toward school, and reduces depression and stress among students (Durlak et al., 2011).
However, for a variety of reasons, “soft skills” such as self-regulating, relationship competence and decision making may not be explicitly addressed in our curriculum. This workshop will introduce tools and language to equip teachers to address talking about emotions. |
IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.
Do not delay. The number of participants is limited.
After the webinar all participants will receive a certificate of participation.
