Why do some language educators rave about the pleasures of teaching adult students?
How is teaching adult learners (which includes Third Age University students) different from teaching young learners?
In this webinar, suitable for both new and experienced instructors teaching adults in non-formal educational contexts, we’ll review adult learning theory and its pedagogical implications.
We’ll focus on best practices for working with adult learners, and spend some time reviewing age-appropriate activities and resources for working with low-level adult English learners.
IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.

Willow Barnosky is an educator and writer based in San Jose, California.
She is the Virtual English Language Fellow at the University of Opole for 2020–2021 and was the English Language Fellow at the University of Rzeszów for 2019-2020.
She has experience as an ESL and EFL instructor, professional developer, and curriculum designer in Adult Education, university, and language institute contexts in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Poland.
She received her MA in TESOL and a Specialization in Teaching Spanish from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
