for an interactive workshop conducted by Agata Wardyńska

entitled

Difficult students, overwhelmed teachers – ways to balance care and boundaries

This interactive workshop is designed to support language teachers in understanding and responding to so-called “difficult” student behaviour through the lens of psychology. It explores what truly lies behind behaviours such as anxiety, perfectionism, withdrawal, or resistance, and helps teachers respond with clarity, calm, and appropriate boundaries.

Combining psychological insight with practical classroom strategies, this training equips educators with tools to create structured, psychologically safe learning environments. Through case studies, reflection tasks, and collaborative discussion, participants will explore how stress, trauma, and self-regulation challenges shape classroom dynamics and how to address them effectively in everyday teaching practice while maintaining clear and sustainable professional boundaries.

The session also highlights teacher co-regulation and self-care as essential components of effective classroom management, emphasizing that supporting students does not mean absorbing all emotional responsibility, nor does it require teachers to take on the role of a psychologist or therapist.

Join us to learn how to support your students without losing yourself in the process and how to strengthen your capacity to balance empathy with structure and reduce emotional overload.

Agata Wardyńska is an experienced language teacher, examiner, teacher trainer, and business communication specialist with over 15 years of professional practice and academic background in language education. She works across educational and corporate environments, supporting learners at every stage of life.

Her experience spans working with children, teenagers, adults, parents, senior learners, refugees, business professionals, and CEOs. This broad spectrum gives her a unique insight into the emotional, developmental, and psychological dynamics that shape learning behaviours across age groups and high-pressure contexts.

She integrates language pedagogy with psychological insight, intercultural communication, and emotionally responsive teaching. Her approach focuses on creating structured, psychologically safe learning environments while maintaining clear and sustainable professional boundaries.

As a trainer, she advocates for empathetic yet grounded practice, helping educators balance care with clarity and support students without taking on the role of a therapist. Her work connects education and business, combining communication expertise with a deep understanding of human behaviour in both classroom and executive settings.
