Travelling to the 35th IATEFL Poland Annual International Conference? Here are your travel guidelines!
Are you getting ready to join us for “The Changemakers’ Revolution” and planning your journey? This year, our conference venue is Vistula University (Polish name: Akademia Finansów i Biznesu Vistula), located at ul. Stokłosy 3, 02-787 Warsaw.
To make your arrival as smooth as possible, we have gathered key logistics and recommended routes from the main transit hubs. If you need visual assistance at any point during your commute, make sure to check the attached PDF, which includes detailed maps for every route listed below!
Taxi / Ride-Hailing Apps (Uber, Bolt, FreeNow)
You can easily order a ride directly to the venue address: ul. Stokłosy 3.
- From Warsaw Chopin Airport: The distance is about 6.1 km, and the drive takes approximately 12 minutes.
- From Warszawa Centralna Train Station: The distance is about 10.1 km, and the trip takes around 22 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Transport from Warsaw Chopin Airport
If you prefer public transit from the airport (stop: Lotnisko Chopina-Przyloty 02), you have several convenient options:
- Direct Bus 148: Take bus 148 to the Herbsta 01 stop (request stop). From there, it is a straightforward 16-minute walk to the university.
- Bus 148 with a transfer to Bus 715: Take bus 148 to the Centrum Onkologii 03 stop. Cross the road to the Centrum Onkologii 04 stop and take bus 715, which will drop you off right at Metro Stokłosy 04.
- Bus 148 + Metro M1: Catch bus 148 to the Miklaszewskiego stop. Walk over to the Imielin metro station, take the M1 line (direction Młociny), and get off at the very next stop: Stokłosy.
- Bus 188/175 + Bus 401/189 + Metro M1: Take bus 188 or 175 to Sasanki 02. Cross the street to Sasanki 04, take bus 401 or 189 to Metro Służew. From there, take the M1 metro line (direction Kabaty) to the Stokłosy station.
Public Transport from Warszawa Centralna Train Station
Getting to the venue from the main railway station is incredibly quick and simple via the metro:
- Fastest Route (Metro M1): Walk through the underground passages from the train station to the Centrum metro station. Take the M1 line (direction Kabaty) and get off directly at the Stokłosy station. The entire journey takes about 31 minutes, and trains run roughly every 3 minutes.
- Bus Alternative (Line 504): From the Dworzec Centralny 02 stop, take bus 504 to the Centrum Onkologii 01 stop. From there, it is about a 17-minute walk to the Vistula campus.
The Final Stretch: From Metro Stokłosy to the Venue
Once you exit the Stokłosy metro station, the walk to the university building is short and highly intuitive. Simply follow the pedestrian path through the residential area (passing ul. Zamiany) straight to the main entrance at ul. Stokłosy 3. (Tip: Check page 4 of the attached PDF for a step-by-step visual map of this walk!)
Important Ticket Reminders:
- Warsaw features an integrated ticket system, meaning the same ticket works for buses, trams, the metro, and SKM trains.
- Tickets bought inside buses and trams from the ticket machines are automatically validated at the moment of purchase!
- When using the metro, remember that you must validate your traditional ticket at the turnstiles before entering the platform (unlike buses and trams, where you validate immediately after boarding).
- You can also easily buy electronic tickets via mobile apps such as Jakdojade, SkyCash, or moBILET.
