Freedom 250 – IATEFL Poland at U.S. Embassy in Warsaw

On 17 June 2026, Magdalena Gałaj, President of IATEFL Poland, took part in the official celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence, held at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw.

The event formed part of the global “Freedom 250” initiative, commemorating 250 years of American independence and highlighting shared democratic values, international cooperation, and long-standing partnerships between the United States and Poland. The Embassy’s annual Independence Day celebration, organised this year as a flagship public-diplomacy event, brought together representatives from government, education, business, diplomacy, and civil society, underscoring the strength of transatlantic relations.

IATEFL Poland’s presence at this prestigious event reflects the association’s commitment to international collaboration and to fostering dialogue, professional exchange, and educational partnerships between Poland and the global ELT community. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Jen MacArthur, the Regional English Language Officer (RELO) and Marzena Polak for their kind invitation and continued support in strengthening cooperation between IATEFL Poland and the U.S. educational community
