This webinar is titled: “Consciousness: The Missing Dimension in Pedagogy”.
Summary:
In an educational landscape shaped by technology and artificial intelligence, the human dimension of teaching has never been more important. This talk invites educators to explore consciousness as a transformative element in teaching and learning, moving beyond the traditional transmission of knowledge towards a more intentional, reflective and learner-centred approach.
Drawing on professional coaching, neuroscience, emotional intelligence and reflective practice, we will examine how beliefs, assumptions, emotions and perceptions influence the way we teach, communicate and connect with learners. Ultimately, this talk proposes a shift in educational thinking: from what we do as teachers to who we are and how we consciously engage with our learners. It is an invitation to rethink teaching as a deeply human process in which awareness becomes a catalyst for meaningful learning and transformation.
Rachel Marie Paling Bio:
BA Hons Law/Spanish; MA Human Rights; MA Applied Neuroscience; MA Neuroeducation. A qualified UK Lawyer, over 40 yrs language teaching experience, ICF MCC credentialed coach, certified Coach Supervisor, ICF Coach Mentor, creator of Neurolanguage Coaching®. Currently undertaking a Doctorate at Oxford Brookes UK.
