“LET ME TAKE YOU ON A MUSIC TRIP” – LIVE LESSON WITH MY LOVELY TEAM OF STUDENTS

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to join our project

ORGANISERS:

Zielona Gora University, Institute of Modern Languages

Vistula University, Philology and Journalism Department

IATEFL Poland

OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide professional development for pre-service TEFL teachers
  • Share good teaching practices
  • Develop practical application of theoretical framework
  • Engage teachers-to-be to share their lesson ideas

Summary:

In my upcoming live online lesson, I will present some pedagogical insights from my latest research book (PhD) titled „Recenzja muzyczna jako gatunek wypowiedzi: Ujęcie kontrastywne” (A Contrastive Genre-Based Study of Music Reviews, Zielona Góra 2024). During this session, participants will embark on a journey to explore American music journalism. My lovely team of students will analyse and create headlines, subheadings, images, and captions. The activities will integrate language and life skills while addressing „matura” exam tasks. The lesson is suitable for ESP classes (e.g., PR, Journalism, Advertisement) or EFL classes that cover curriculum topics related to culture. Attendees will have the chance to observe and participate in a live lesson, experiencing a real teacher and real students in action.
