Dear Colleagues,

IATEFL Poland and Marcin Demkowicz
have the pleasure of inviting you to the webinar which will take place on Wednesday, 7th of October 2026, from 20.30 to 21.30 CEST.
This webinar is titled: Share The Board: Turn your board into a globally accessible and intelligent device“.

Summary:

Large writing surfaces offer a time-tested and cost-efficient solution that has been scientifically proven to drive retention and engagement. Unfortunately, these tools are also a source of frustration for remote students, those with mobility issues, or those with diverse learning needs. ShareTheBoard addresses the shortcomings of these writing surfaces, without introducing learning curves for educators or undue costs for educational institutions. In this presentation we’ll demonstrate how any board-based classroom can be transformed into a globally-accessible teaching environment without any change to teaching methods. IATEFL Poland members will learn how real-time board digitisation boosts participation, accessibility, and outcomes, while minimising teacher workload.

Marcin Demkowicz Bio:

Marcin Demkowicz is the Co-Founder and President of ShareTheBoard – a software company aimed at raising the global accessibility standard of board-based classrooms. Marcin has over 20 years of experience in product management and has co-founded multiple technology companies. He’s also a proud father of eight children, some of which have specific accessibility challenges. Many members of Marcin’s family work in education and Marcin himself has homeschooled all of his children, along with his wife, Olivia – herself a lifelong teacher. This unique combination of education, product management, and personal experience has led to the development of ShareTheBoard’s novel technology. The company aims to solve global accessibility challenges in a way that is both transformative and affordable.

He has been teaching at C2 proficiency level for many years at Dortmund Technical University. He has wide experience of teaching and test design at C1/C2 levels and has offered numerous workshops for teachers in higher, further and adult education at many international conferences, especially in Poland.
