have the pleasure to invite you to
the webinar which will take place on 22nd of July 2026, from 20.30 to 21.30 CEST.

This webinar is titled: The Ethics of AI in Language Education.

Summary:

AI is a controversial topic in education. Some teachers have eagerly embraced it, while others are firmly opposed. In this webinar, we’ll explore a range of attitudes toward AI and examine common objections and defenses of AI in teaching. Results from a survey of educators and students will be shared, and you’ll be invited to share your own views on if and when AI is appropriate to use in language education. We’ll reflect on questions such as: What is AI’s effect on the environment? Does AI support or hinder cognitive development in our students? Does AI use enhance or diminish a teacher’s professional identity and job security? And is AI’s increasing presence in our lives and classrooms, as we so often hear, truly inevitable?
