Summary:
In an age of constant visual stimulation and limited attention spans, language teaching needs more than words to succeed. Visuals are not just support tools. They drive engagement, clarify meaning, and enhance communication.
This practical session demonstrates how a wide range of visual aids, from the blackboard to infographics, diagrams, cartoons, and digital media, can energise the language classroom. It also shows how learners can create their own visuals to communicate with greater confidence and impact.
Participants will gain ready-to-use ideas to make their lessons more engaging, memorable, and learner-centred.

Bio:
Lucyna Wilinkiewicz-Górniak is a senior lecturer at Cracow University of Economics, specializing in business English and communication. She uses a project-based approach to teaching. A long-time member of IATEFL Poland, she has served as Secretary, Kraków Region Representative, and Webinars Coordinator, supporting professional development in English language teaching.
