After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Dear Colleagues,
IATEFL Poland, region Krakow and Geoff Tranter, Freelance Consultant in the field of Language Training, Language Testing and Teacher-Training,
have the pleasure of inviting you to the webinar which will take place on Wednesday, 30th of September 2026, from 20.30 to 21.30 CEST.
This webinar is titled: “Digital Twins: Creating Authentic International Partnerships for Meaningful English Communication“.
Summary:
What happens when English stops being a classroom subject and becomes a real bridge between people?
This interactive webinar explores the idea of Digital Twins — partnerships between “twin” schools, colleges, or institutions in different countries — and how such collaborations can transform language learning into authentic communication.
Drawing on experience in Anglo-German twinning initiatives and university-level ESP teaching, Geoff will demonstrate how virtual exchanges can motivate learners, foster intercultural awareness, and create purposeful interaction beyond textbooks. English becomes not just something students study, but something they genuinely use.
Participants will gain practical ideas for initiating international partnerships and reflect on how even small-scale digital cooperation can bring global perspectives into everyday teaching practice.
The session will include discussion and opportunities to share experiences.
