IATEFL Poland membership

All teachers wishing to join IATEFL Poland in the year 2010 are required to pay the annual membership fee of 75.00 PLN (this fee includes free membership of one IATEFL Poland SIG; your preference should be reported to the Co-ordinator of the SIG of your choice). Membership year ends on 31st December 2010.

IATEFL UK membership

The following is a description of three types of IATEFL membership. The first two have always been available to members of IATEFL Poland. The third type of membership is relatively new and Poland has been invited to participate for a trial period of two years (till 2003). In each case the IATEFL membership year is for a period of one year from receipt of subscription.

Full Membership

This type of membership is open to all teachers of English. In the year 2010 the Full Membership subscription fee is £46.

Basic Membership

Basic Membership allows you to join IATEFL in the UK at a lower subscription fee. In the year 2010 the Basic Membership subscription fee is £19. This type of membership is only available to individual members of IATEFL Associates. Thus, all current IATEFL Poland members are entitled to take out this type of membership.

Basic Membership benefits:

In order to become a Basic Member:

  1. you must be a fully paid-up member of IATEFL PL
  2. pay 110 PLN (to cover the subscription fee + bank charges connected with money transfer to Great Britain) to the IATEFL Poland bank account:

Reduced Basic Membership

In 2000 IATEFL World launched an ambitious project for the Millennium - the Wider Membership Scheme (WMS), an initiative that will reach out to the English language profession around the world, offering membership of IATEFL to teachers who would not otherwise be able to afford it. It is hoped that the WMS will allow IATEFL Associate members to take out Basic Membership, with all the benefits it brings, at even lower rates.

Poland has been chosen to take part in the WMS pilot. We have been allocated ONLY 60 Reduced Basic Memberships for the year 2010. If you are interested in joining IATEFL World under the WMS scheme please contact us at the IATEFL PL stand in Warsaw.

Reduced Basic Membership benefits:

In order to become a Member under the Reduced Basic Membership scheme:

  1. you must be a fully paid-up member of IATEFL PL
  2. CONTACT OUR TREASURER AT THE POSTAL OR E-MAIL ADDRESS BELOW (she will then give you further details of registration).
  3. ONLY AFTER RECEIVING A REPLY FROM OUR TREASURER pay 50 PLN (to cover the subscription fee + bank charges connected with money transfer to Great Britain) to the IATEFL Poland bank account:
