have the pleasure to invite you to the webinar

which will take place on Wednesday, 25th of October, from 20.30 to 21.30 CET.

Your registration will be made via Zoom platform.

This webinar is titled:

Eco-ELT for Environmental Research and Praxis in ELT

Summary:

Current environmental catastrophes affecting the life of all beings in our planetary ecosystem require immediate and coordinated actions from any sector and discipline. As one of the disciplines in education, ELT carries the same responsibility as other fields of study to address environmental problems. ELT has participated in the effort of saving Mother Gaia through environmental teaching. However, the related attempts are unstructured and scarce, as well as no inclusive term and framework. This webinar aims to introduce the concept and philosophical grounds of “Eco-ELT” as a home for environmental movement in ELT to live and grow. The webinar will also revolve around the principle and framework of Eco-ELT practice in English lessons. English teachers or teacher educators are expected to comprehend the principle and framework and hence implement more Eco-ELT instructions in their respective classes. The webinar will also touch upon the principle and framework of Eco-ELT research. Let’s strengthen the participation of our ELT field in environmental sustainability. It is never too late for ELT to save the Earth.

During the webinar all participants will be provided with a certificate of participation, which they will be able to download.

IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.

Do not delay. The number of participants is limited.
